Daniel Radcliffe rock out like Strange Al Yankovic in the first full trailer of the upcoming Roku movie Strange: the story of Al Yankovic. The trailer gives us a real glimpse into Weird Al’s story and his rise to fame. As you will see, his journey is full of ups and downs and, as you will see, Madonna has had a very bad influence on his life.
The biopic does not hide anything, “exploring every aspect of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like ‘Eat It’ and ‘Like a Surgeon’ to his torrid love affairs with celebrities and famous style of depraved life. Strange: the story of Al Yankovic takes audiences on a truly incredible journey through Yankovic’s life and career, from the gifted child prodigy to the greatest musical legend of all time.
Radcliffe says he had a great time making the film, saying it was one of the funniest acting jobs he ever had, and it looks like he gave an incredibly funny and entertaining performance. I am super excited to watch this movie! I’ve been a Weird Al fan since I was a kid, and can’t wait to see this movie about the wild life he led.
The project is produced by Funny Or Die and Tango. Yankovic is also involved in the project and wrote the script with him Eric Appelwho directed it. Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld, Phoenix Rising) also stars in the film and plays the role of Madonna.
Strange: the story of Al Yankovic will premiere on The Roku Channel starting November 4, 2022.
