The last episode of She-Hulk: lawyer funny tackle Edward Norton’s version of The Hulk in a little gag. This is the first time the MCU has acknowledged the fact that Bruce Banner was once played by a different actor in the MCU.
In the scene, Bruce Banner is talking to Jennifer Walters about her fight with Abomination in the original Hulk movie, and one of the things Banner said during the conversation was, “It happened a long time ago that I’m a completely different person now. … literally.”
That offered a funny laugh. Ruffalo recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the moment and said he had a conversation with Edward Norton about the Hulk saying:
“I think it’s really funny. It’s just the reality that we all dance a lot, but it’s true. I actually joked with Ed about this. I was like, ‘He’s like our generation’s Hamlet. Everyone’s going to try.’ And there will probably be another couple before it’s all over. People will say, ‘Remember when the Hulk looked like Mark Ruffalo? He Now he looks like Timothée Chalamet.’ “
“The great thing about this world is that it could be anything. In five years it could totally transform into anything, whatever is relevant at that moment. I almost see it going back to ‘Berserker Hulk’ or ‘World War Hulk’. It could go. everywhere. That’s the exciting part: I’ve played five different versions from the beginning to today, and that has kept it interesting for me and hopefully interesting for other people. “
It will certainly be interesting and interesting to see how the Hulk story arc continues to move forward and evolve into the MCU over the next few years. Speaking earlier of his version of the Hulk, Norton said:
“Hulk was … I felt sad about what what [director] Louis [Leterrier] and I decided to do, in terms of taking a more Chris Nolan approach to creating something that was a little darker and more serious, they ended up neutering. I wanted to make a great CGI movie and learn and see things. I grew up on the Hulk, I loved it. And actually people really liked the movie. You know, kids love the movie. It’s another one of those things: the amount of noise people make around us. It is so silly. I couldn’t be happier to have been part of that whole tradition. “
It is what it is. I love Norton’s Hulk! But in the end, I’m fine with how things went with the character. Are you excited about the future of the Hulk?
