Walt Grace
Desperately help his whole place
I dreamed of discovering a new space
And he buried himself alive

Inside his basement
It meant the tongue on the side of his face
He’s working on his placement
And what it would take to survive

Because when you are done with this world

You know that the next one depends on you

And his wife told his kids he was crazy

And his friends said he would fail if he tried

But with the desire to work hard

And a library card

He took a homemade fan blade

One man submarine ride

That morning
The sea was crazy and I mean it
Waves as big as he had seen it
Deep in his dreams at home

From the mainland
He rolled it on the wet sand
I closed the hatch with one hand
And he went away by himself

Because when you are done with this world

You know that the next one depends on you

And for once in his life he was quiet

How he learned to turn the tide

And the sky was a glow

When it came up in the air

In his homemade fan blade

One man submarine ride

One evening
When it’s been weeks since he’s gone
The call he planned to receive
He’s finally back home

Accepted
The news she never expected
The operator has connected
The call from Tokyo

Because when you are done with this world

You know that the next one depends on you

Now his friends cheer him up when they drink

At the bar with his name on the side

And they smile when they can
While they talk about the man
Which took a homemade fan blade
One man submarine ride
