First trailer and poster for Modern BREAKFAST CLUB THE CLASS with Anthony Michael Hall

The first trailer and poster was released for the film The classdescribed as a “modern take on The Breakfast Club“Of course, the original film wouldn’t make sense to be told verbatim in 2022. Despite its problems, I grew up watching The Breakfast Club, and it annoyed me to see it was some kind of makeover. But after seeing the trailer, I think they did a good job taking the idea from the first movie and really changing it The class. Teens are very different now than they were forty years ago, so it’s good to see a brand new story about this generation.

The film is the protagonist Charlie Gillepsie (Julie and the ghosts), Lyric Ross (This is us), Hanna Kepple (Cobra Kai), Giulietta Celozzi (In pieces), Colin McCalla (Ruthless), and newcomer Michele Sebastiano like students. They are joined by the pop star of the 80s Debbie Gibson as their teacher, as well as The Breakfast Club stars Anthony Michael Hall (16 candles, Edward scissor hands) as main, and John Kapeloswho played the janitor in the original movie.

Here is the synopsis:

In this tribute to The Breakfast Club, a group of high school students are forced to spend a Saturday at school completing an exam they missed or missed. At the end of the day, they find their values, betrayals and love within themselves and their classmates.

The class is both written and directed by Nicola Celozzi (Deep coverage). Check out the trailer and poster below and watch The class in selected American theaters and on VOD on 9 September.
