The first reactions for She-Hulk: lawyer they’ve come from critics and most of them say it’s a fun and refreshing show. I haven’t seen it in person yet, but I couldn’t wait.
However, the lead writer of the series, Jessica Gao (Robot Chicken), previously launched at Black Widow film at Marvel Studios. It was the first real project he proposed to them and She-Hulk would be heavily involved in the story.
In a recent interview with / Film, he talked about this project and how the pitch was more like a She-Hulk film by a Black Widow movie:
“The first real project I submitted to Marvel was for the movie ‘Black Widow.’ And I had She-Hulk in my presentation, but so much She-Hulk in my presentation that someone actually commented: ‘It looks like you’re proposing a She-Hulk movie with Black Widow in it. ‘”
Whatever she proposed, of course, stayed with Marvel executives because they got her involved to help develop the She-Hulk serie. I guess that’s the project she had to be involved in. Gao went on to say:
“Clearly there was a reason I didn’t get that job. I really think all of that was for a reason because in the end, at the end of the day, the thing I really wanted was ‘She-Hulk’ and those other projects weren’t. ‘She-Hulk’ “.
She-Hulk: lawyer will premiere on Disney + on August 18, 2022.
