Hulk actor Marco Ruffalò is ruffling some feathers this week with his opinion that Marvel movies have more to offer than the Star Wars universe. After recent comments by Lost And Guardians showrunner Damon Lindelofwho said he’d like to see fewer Marvel movies made so that “everyone who [comes] out [feels] a little more special, ”Ruffalo defended the MCU when Metro.co.uk asked him if there was too much Marvel content.

“I understand these things run their course and then something else comes along. But the thing that Marvel did well is that, within the MCU, just like they do with comics, they let a director or actor recreate each piece in their own style, their likeness. Marvel generally allows them to bring this into the material.

To prove his point, Ruffalo then cast some shadow over the Star Wars universe, saying:

“If you watch ‘Star Wars’, you’ll get pretty much the same version of ‘Star Wars’ every time. It might have some humor. It may have a slightly different animation. But you are always, really, in the same kind of world. But with Marvel you can have a completely different feeling, even within the Marvel Universe. “

There are always several titles scheduled for Marvel, between the three and four films we get on average annually in theaters and the number of new Marvel shows that have premiered on Disney + since its launch. But I also feel that each Marvel property and character has a very different vibe. It’s special and spectacular when they meet in big event movies, but each story does its thing well enough to keep us intrigued in the different plots.

What do you think of what Ruffalo said? Do you think he is right?
