Jon Bernthal’s Punisher could return in “Daredevil: Born Again”

With the cancellation of the series with Charlie Cox on Netflix, fans of Devil of Hell’s Kitchen have put so much pressure on Kevin Feige that he now has four confirmed MCU appearances and a new story for Disney +. And it seems that fate has favored Jon Berthal as well, as he could return in “Daredevil: Born Again”.

Charlie Cox will soon return as Daredevil in the Disney + series, “She Hulk”, where a lighter and more humorous side of the character will be explored as Matt Murdock. In addition, he will also soon appear alongside Vincent D’Onofrio in “Echo” and in the animated series “Spiderman: Freshman Years”.

With the arrival of Devil of Hell’s Kitchen on Disney +, some fear the character’s violence will be sidelined, but now, a Can We Get Some Toast leak ensures that The Punisher could re-enter ‘Daredevil: Born again’, the new series that will continue the story of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock.

However, the leak belongs to a new industry insider and who doesn’t have a great reputation in the industry, so the information should be taken with caution. However, it doesn’t seem that far-fetched the return of Jon Berthal as Frank Castle, or better known as the Punisher.

The return of Jon Bernthal as The Punisher in Marvel

A few days ago, actress Rosario Dawson, who played Claire Temples in many of the Defenders series on Netflix, let slip that she heard that Marvel was already working on the return of Jon Bernthal in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although he retracted saying they were rumors he had heard from some fans.

There is currently nothing confirmed by Marvel about Jon Bernthal’s return as The Punisher, but everything seems to indicate that something is up to Kevin Feige with the Frank Castle character. D23, the event where Marvel is present, is coming soon and there may be more announcements on the MCU.

The series “Daredevil: Born Again” will premiere in 2024 and will have 18 episodes in total and will star Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. Marvel is expected to announce the rest of the cast soon for this character reboot.
