With the restructuring of Warner Bros. Discovery, the company’s new president, David Zaslav, has begun to stir controversy among DC Comics fans. Rumors have highlighted that the Snyder-Verse may be returning with the new directive, and now Zack Snyder approves of the idea.
After the cancellation of Batgirl for HBO Max, David Zaslav came out to defend his company’s decision, arguing that they prioritize “quality over quantity”. Insider Syl Abdyul assured that a few days ago the president of Warner Bros. Discovery would change his mind and he wanted to keep the SnyderVerse timeline into the future of the DCEU.
Although fans of ‘Justice League director Snyder Cut’ wanted him to return to direct the future of the UEDC, the news was replicated by Geekosity on his Twitter account, and later shared by David Garelli on Vero’s social network, and among the reaction is that of Zack Snyder approving Warner’s use of the Snyder-Verse.
Some fans may take this as a confirmation that SnyderVerse recovery is closer than ever, or maybe that Zack Snyder may be in the plans of Warner Bros. Discovery. But at the moment there is nothing confirmed on both sides.
What will happen to Zack Snyder at Warner Bros?
For now, Zack Snyder will continue to work with Netflix on his upcoming films, including “Rebel Moon” and new installments in the “Army of the Dead” saga. Which complicates his return, for legal and contractual terms, to the DC Extended Universe, and even more so with reports that the director and Warner have ended their relationship in the worst way.
It should be remembered that the term “Snyder-Verse” was created by fans, and Warner Bros. Discovery has the rights to continue with the story and material that Zack Snyder left at the company, which may be discarded by the company after the premiere. from ‘The Flash’ with Ezra Miller.
For now, Warner Bros. Discovery continues to take care of the development of their next films, right now they are evaluating different scenarios for Ezra Miller to be able to release ‘The Flash’, even if the future of the actor in the company seems to be compromised. We will have to wait for the next few weeks to find out the official details of DC Studios on the future of the UEDC.
