With the announcement of a Winnie the Pooh horror film, the expectations of fans of the genre have grown over the months. Now, it has been revealed how “Blood and Honey” composer Andrew Scott Bell composed the soundtrack for the film, using violins and honey.
Following Disney’s loss of the rights, director Rhys Frake-Waterfield came up with the idea of making a horror film based on the characters of AA Milne, and that’s how he started with ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey’, which is expected to be released this year 2022.
This is revealed by a nerdy reportage how was the creation of the soundtrack for ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey’, in which composer Andrew Scott Bell met musician Tyler Thacray, who had a bee project, and came up with the idea of putting a violin in a beehive.
The two musicians christened the “Beehiveolin” project, where they put a violin in a beehive for more than a year, and after pulling it out, they began experimenting to find out if it was possible for the instrument to give notes and be playable, especially because it was still inside the hive, soaked in honey.
This was the creation of the dark soundtrack of “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey”
The creation of the music of ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey’ was led by Andrew Well and Tyler Thackraywho has documented every step of the creation of “Beehiveolin” on their YouTube channel and, at the same time, previews of what can be heard as part of the soundtrack of the tape.
On his personal Instagram account, Thackray also shared some sneak peeks of how the honey-soaked violin that was part of the Winnie the Pooh horror movie soundtrack sounds, and it sounds strangely sweet for a violin. .
There is currently no release date for ‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey’ in theaters, or if it will be released on some of the most popular streaming platforms of the moment, but it is expected to arrive at the end of this same year 2022, as has the director himself said in the past.
