breaking Bad And Better to call Saul Creator Gilligan wins got an idea for a breaking Bad video game that he actually launched at some point and by which he would be inspired Grand Theft Auto.
During a recent interview on the Inside the Gilliverse podcast last week, Gilligan talked about this idea saying, “I’m not much of a video game player, but how can you not know. Grand Theft Auto? “He went on to explain:
“I remember telling the guys, who don’t run Apple now, who said yes to Breaking Bad at first, ‘Who owns Grand Theft Auto? You can’t have a module, there can be a Breaking Bad. [game]? ‘ That was never realized. There have been several video game attempts, some of which have made it to the market. We tried a VR experience with the Sony PlayStation VR headset. We made a mobile game that lasted a while. “
The mobile game Gilligan is referencing here is Breaking Bad: Criminal Elements. In it, players would build a drug empire under the leadership of Walter White and Jessie Pinkman. Apparently, the creative team behind it breaking Bad planned several fields for more video games based on the world of both breaking Bad And Better to call Saul.
Too bad nothing happened! A Grand Theft Auto-style breaking Bad the video game would have been great!
