A teaser trailer for DC’s Pennyworth season three was recently released and came with the announcement of a new title. This is the strangest and most ridiculous title I’ve seen in a long time. The series is now titled Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler!
I guess after two seasons they have to make sure people know this show is about Batman’s butler? Yes, it’s a silly title. Pennyworth it’s a much better and cleaner title. Sometimes studio executives just have brain farts and this is one of them. Maybe they think the title change will bring more people to watch the show?
The series follows former British SAS soldier Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon) who, in 1960s London, goes to work with billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) and his wife Marta (Emma Paetz) in the years before becoming Bruce Wayne’s parents.
The official synopsis of the third season reads: “The third season of the psychological thriller begins after a time jump of five years: the civil war is over and a cultural revolution has changed the world for better or for worse, ushering in a new era of Super Heroes. and Supercriminals “.
The next season will consist of ten episodes and will premiere on HBO Max this October. What do you think of the new title !?
