Rosario Dawson portrays the return of ‘The Punisher’ and says she listened to some fans – Courtesy (Netflix)
Just a few hours ago, Marvel fans were thrilled to hit social networks and see that Rosario Dawson missed Jon Berthal’s return as Frank Castle. However, before the sudden euphoria of followers, the ‘Star Wars’ actress retracted ‘The Punisher’.
It was during the Chicaco Comic & Entertainment Expo, where Rosario Dawson confirmed the return of ‘The Punisher’, saying Marvel is working on a project that would bring Jon Bernthal back as Frank Castle, following the cancellation of his series on Netflix.
But it seems that someone at Marvel has already gone to clarify the situation, and used their social networks to clarify things. Through his Twitter account, Rosario Dawson pictured on the return of ‘The Punisher’, and says he heard some fans sharing information about it, which is why he believed it.
Can’t be trusted! Apparently getting information from fans while shopping is uncertain. My bad. I got excited. Confirmation is key when they tell you what you want to hear.
And it is that, although his statements did not confirm this, fans took his words as a reliable source: “I had not heard that announcement, but yesterday I found out that the Punisher was happening again. So, I feel that it is the my second chance, because it’s the only show I haven’t been to, “referring to the Defenders universe on Netflix.
Will the Defenders return to the MCU?
Although that makes it clearThe Punisher’ with Jon Bernthal is not in development, the rest of the Marvel characters on Netflix still have a chance for the MCU. Daredevil is the first confirmed to be a part of this universe, but strong rumors indicate that he will not be the only one.
In recent weeks, strong rumors indicate that Krysten Ritter may return as Jessica Jones in the MCU. The leaks indicate that she could appear in “She-Hulk”, although she could also have her own series of hers, with a new season, just like Charlie Cox with Daredevil.
There is currently no confirmation from Marvel whether the rest of the Defenders will have a chance within the MCU, but D23 is celebrated in September and some fans are hoping it will be where the company will announce the return of these characters and of their new seasons.
