BioWare recently rolled out the 7.1 Digging Deeper update for its MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. The update adds the R-4 Anomaly which is a new high-level operation, the Manaan daily area, new tactics, class balances, new UI customization options, and more. You can read all the patch notes now, but I’ve included some of the highlights below.
The update brings an update to the SWTOR story where players will learn more about Darth Malgus’s fascination with Darth Nul. There is also information about the fate of Sa’har Kateen who dueled with Malgus on Elom.
The new Operation Anomaly R-4 is for 8 players in both Story and Veteran modes for all level 80 characters. In Operation, you will face a dark Sith cult that is trying to harvest technology from an ancient weapon. Rewards include virulent armor sets, dangerous armor sets, operation-based decorations, and equipment with 340 item rating when playing veteran mode.
The Manaan Daily Area offers two faction-based storylines and repeatable missions with rewards such as Firaxan Weapon Set, Manaan Defender and Night Light Armor Set, a Cerulean Turtle Minipet, and Manaan-inspired decorations for your fortress. To access the missions, you will need to complete the Assault and Legacy of the Sith expansions.
The four new Tactics added will be available from suppliers in the Supply section of each fleet.
