Groot’s death in 2014 in “Guardians of the Galaxy” was a blow to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What they didn’t expect was that this sacrifice would bring them one of the best characters in the entire saga as a reward. Baby Groot fell in love in the Guardians sequel and is now back with more pranks in “I am Groot”, an animated spin-off series. With only 5 episodes lasting about 3-4 minutes, the most adorable character of the House of Ideas lands on Disney + to conquer the little ones and make them laugh.

Interestingly, despite the entire series being just 20 minutes long, Lepore states this “The overall process took us a year and a half or two”.
Animation, unlimited power
“I am Groot” is also the second Marvel animated series for its UCM after “What if …?”. “Animation is an infinite canvas”Winderbaum comments, defining it as “a direct line to the director’s imagination”.
