Assemble Entertainment announced the release date of Hexagon Sphere Games’ upcoming post-apocalyptic city-builder Sphere – Flying cities. In the game, you will have to help the last human beings as they try to build and survive on the first flying city. The game takes inspiration from James Blishis the novel City in flight and combine a city builder with strategy and survival for an exciting game. You will be the commander who must help maintain order after a colossal asteroid collides with the moon causing catastrophic events on Earth that put humanity in grave danger.
Unlike the typical post-apocalyptic city builder, Sphere – Flying Cities introduces a unique twist: the last bastion of humanity is not on the decimated surface of the Earth but in the skies! Using new anti-gravity technology, players manage the well-being of humanity’s last inhabitants in their first flying city.
Fly through the sky as the inhabitants of the city of Ariale rebuild, renovate and protect the last semblance of society. Additionally, the full version of this flying sci-fi title will see new features such as a fully enriched narrative campaign, six new building projects to discover, a completely revamped tutorial, and a terrifying new threat: ice storms.
You can try to save humanity on September 20 or get the early access version of Ball before then to start learning the ropes. Additionally, Assemble Entertainment has partnered with Atmosfair to offer the Save the World edition of the game which includes a mini-artbook and in-game cosmetics. A portion of the profits from the Save the World edition will be donated directly to Atmosfair, which focuses on “clean energy climate protection projects”. You can purchase the game on GOG and Steam now.
