Yesterday came the great news that Warner Bros. was demolishing the Bad girl film that was due out later this year. Fans were shocked that the film, which was to be released for HBO Max and a possible theatrical run, was simply thrown out despite the $ 90 million used to create it. But she wasn’t the only victim to hit the cutting room floor yesterday.

The animated sequel Scoob! Holiday meeting place was the sequel to the 2020 film Scoob!, which despite some negative reviews from older fans, fared very well in its home version. My kids loved that movie! It made sense to throw another one, and this one had to come out during the holiday season. The co-writer of the film Paolo Dini (Batman: the animated series) tweeted about the decision, saying:

“Why cancel a 95% finished holiday movie so close to fall, when you have the guarantee that the kids will watch it right after Halloween until at least New Years? It makes no business sense, especially since both kids and the parents dug the projection of the WIP “.

Co-director Bill Haller he said on Twitter that he “approved the latest animation take last week and I can’t wait for all fans to see the incredible performances of this passion project that I know will make you very happy.” Co-writer Tony Cervonean animation veteran and director of animation on Space jamhe said the film was “pretty much finished and it turned out beautifully” on Instagram and added, “I’m heartbroken.”

I’m just really confused by the decisions made at the WB! Even if these films hadn’t made a huge profit, they would have made something and releasing them would have been a profit for the people who put a lot of time and creative energy into creating these films. Now fans won’t be very excited about the things Warner Bros. announces, because we can’t trust us to see them! I wonder what will happen The flash. It looks like the movie they would be making announcements about in the wake of the drama surrounding its star.

I hope they reconsider releasing these movies at least only on HBO Max, because I know they will make some fans very happy.
