1091 Pictures has released a trailer for the upcoming supernatural revenge thriller, When I consume you. The film is described as a crude urban folktale that follows “a woman and her brother as they hunt down a mysterious stalker bent on their destruction, testing the limits of love and loyalty in the face of supreme evil.”
It sounds like a great slow-burning demonic horror movie. I appreciate the suspense tone. It comes from the director Perry Blackshear and stars MacLeod Andrews, Evan DumouchelAnd Libby Ewing. Here is the synopsis:
Brothers Daphne and Wilson Shaw practically raised each other. They protected each other from all that life threw in their way. Daphne’s professional life is skyrocketing and she is looking to adopt a child. Wilson is interviewing for a position at a local school, hoping to become a teacher. But Daphne has a creepy and dangerous stalker that she can’t shake, and now she threatens to destroy them both. They seek their tormentor on the dark streets of Brooklyn, honing their bodies and minds for a showdown. But this enemy may turn out to be more than they can handle. They will break and rebuild if necessary to save each other and protect the light they know is in this world for them … if only they can persevere.
It is also explained that the film was shot in Brooklyn and the story “addresses the vulnerabilities that people struggle with every day through a genre lens to create an intimately chilling indie horror nightmare.”
When I consume you will arrive on VOD on August 16th. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think!
