Director Todd Phillips Joker sequel, currently titled Joker: Folie for twowill be released in theaters on October 4, 2024, five years after the release of the first film, which became a huge billion-dollar hit.
The sequel will be a musical with Joaquin Phoenix along with acting in the film Lady Gaga, who is supposed to play Joker’s co-conspirator Harley Quinn. Phoenix will earn a whopping $ 20 million with the sequel!
While we don’t know much more about the film, Phillips previously talked about how he would handle the Joker sequel, saying, “It couldn’t just be this crazy, wild ‘Clown Prince of Crime’ movie. It should have some thematic resonance in a way similar to this. Because I think that’s ultimately why the movie connected, that’s what’s going on below. So many movies are about the spark, and this is about dust. If I could capture it again in a real way, it would be interesting.
While the WB is eliminating DC movies like Batgirl and trying to figure out what to do with The Flash, they are all involved in Joker 2 and are obviously hoping to see the billions of dollars at the box office again!
