Last week it was announced that MGM was developing a Rocky And I believe spin-off film he would focus on Dolph LundgrenThere is Ivan Drago and lorian Munteanu’S titled Viktor Drago Dragon. Ivan Drago was reintroduced into the franchise in Creed II, which saw his son face off against Apollo Creed’s son, Adonis.
I actually liked the idea of exploring the Dragon’s life in Russia in a spin-off. But, rock star Sylvester Stallone is pissed! He is certainly not happy and criticizes the project and producer Irwin Winkler in a recent Instagram post for “taking advantage” of the franchise he started in 1976. He said:
Another heartthrob … I just found out … ONCE AGAIN, this PATHETIC 94-year-old MANUFACTURER and HIS USELESS CHILDREN OF THE MORONIC AVULTURE, Charles and David, are once again cleaning up the BONES of another wonderful character that I created without even telling me … I apologize to the FAN, I never wanted the ROCKY characters to be exploited by these parasites … By the way, I have nothing but respect for Dolph, but I wish he had told me what was going on behind my back … Keep your REAL friends close.
It’s very clear here about how he feels. I don’t blame him. This is her baby, I thought she was part of this spin-off when it was first announced, but obviously that’s not the case. It will be interesting to see if this project actually ends up taking off and if Stallone will fight it.
If Stallone isn’t involved, this movie shouldn’t be shooting. What do you think of all this?
