Todd McFarlane has been trying to make his new Spawn movie for over a decade and I’m not sure it will ever happen. The project is staged at Blumhouse Productions, but there doesn’t seem to be much progress there.
McFarlane had previously announced that he would make his directorial debut with the film and so on Jamie Foxx he was to play Spawn together Jeremy Renner as Detective Twitch Williams. I don’t even know if those two are still involved in the project! It has been so long since they were chosen.
The creator of To produce He recently sat down with CB for an interview in which they talked about the possibility of developing a streaming series of Spawn if the movie doesn’t happen, and this is what he said:

My only hesitation for that kind of deal right now is that there aren’t any. data that I can think of that someone was able to build a [movie] franchise starting as streaming [series].
