Nintendo has announced the second wave of courses for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Upgrade Course Pass DLC. This includes two more cups with four tracks each for a total of eight new tracks. Most of these are fan favorites and classics like Mario Circuit 3’s Super Mario Kart and Kalimari desert from Mario Kart 64, but there is a brand new track called Sky-High Sundae that sounds fun. There are still four more waves to add for a total of 48 courses to add to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Which of these tracks are you most excited to play?

  • Turnip cup

    • New York Minute Tour: Pass towering skyscrapers and enjoy a scenic drive through the park on this Big Apple-inspired route from the mobile game Mario Kart Tour.

    • SNES Mario Circuit 3 – Blast your way through tight curves and avoid the warp tubes in this classic course that originated in Super Mario Kart on Super NES.

    • N64 Kalimari Desert – This desert ride involves frequent collisions with an old-fashioned steam locomotive crossing the route – be careful not to cause delays!

    • DS Waluigi Pinball – Throw, bump and weave this themed course on a giant pinball machine, complete with colorful lights and sounds. Just try not to lean!

  • Propeller cup

    • Sydney Sprint Tour: Soak up the sun as you fly over the bay and cruise around the sights on this route that originated in Mario Kart Tour.

    • GBA Snow Land – Try not to slip and slide on this winter course from Mario Kart: Super Circuit. Just remember: the cooling heads will prevail.

    • Wii Mushroom Gorge – This path includes an underground cavern, deep chasms and giant mushrooms to pop out of – make sure you land safely!

    • Sky-High Sundae – The competition might heat up, but that doesn’t mean you can’t relax in this sweet competition, which is filled with amazing desserts at almost every turn. Prove you’re number one under the sun (dae) in this debut course!

You can enjoy the Booster Course Pass for $ 24.99 or at no additional cost if you have a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. The second wave of courses will be playable starting August 4th. What courses do you hope there are in the next wave?
