Fabian Frankel hopes GOT’s “House of the Dragon” will “empower women”

After being part of the hit Netflix series, ‘La Serpiente’; Fabien Frankel moves on to his next project: ‘House of the Dragon’, the prequel of ‘game of Thrones’. The actor is part of the main cast of the new spin off and reveals that he hopes this production will “empower women”.

The actor Fabian Frankel plays Mr. Criston Cole in ‘House of the Dragon’, an important character in the development of Rhaenyra Targaryen, the protagonist of this new GOT series who will be played by Emma D’Arcy. As part of the cast, the actor attended the series’ press conference in Mexico City and shared some of his thoughts on the spin off.

Among the many comments he made on the project, Fabien Frankel confessed that he hoped the “House of the Dragon” would empower women. According to the actor, the series has many female characters who are strong not only in the history of the series but also by their very nature and personalities that could be an inspiration to other women in real life.

I think there are so many strong female characters on this show, Olivia Cooke, Milly Alcock, Emma D’Arcy, Emily Carey, so many others, that if I were a young woman or a young man I would watch them tremendously. I hope the show empowers women all over the world. ”

On previous occasions, cast members such as Matt Smith and Emma D’Arcy have agreed with Fabien Frankel’s comments: women have key roles in this story and although this has already been seen in “Game of Thrones”, they feel that these characters are approached differently and must keep an eye on them.

Who is Fabien Frankel in “The House of the Dragon”?

The story of the “House of the Dragon” tells the story of Rhaenyra Targaryen, the legitimate heir to the Iron Throne as the firstborn of King Viserys; however, being a woman, she faces the stigma of her gender and the ability to have the ability to lead a kingdom, because until then only men had this “gift”.

In other words, the main plot of the GOT prequel focuses on Rhanyra Targaryen and the characters close to her will be the key to the development of that story. This is where Ser Creston Cole, played by Fabian Frankel, becomes important; who is the “forbidden” love interest of the heir to the Iron Throne and a secret confidant.
