Sebastian Stan shared the first photo of his next film project A different man, and as you can see, he is completely unrecognizable as his face is covered with implants. Stan plays Edward, a man with neurofibromatosis, a condition in which tumors grow in the nervous system.
In the story, Edward undergoes facial reconstructive surgery, but then becomes obsessed with an actor playing him in a play based on his life. It sure sounds like an interesting story and I’m curious to see how it turns out.
Credits Stan Mike Marino for prosthetics, and on which he recently worked The Batman. He worked to transform Colin Farrell into Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin.
A different man even stars Renate Reinsve (The worst person in the world) And Adam Pearson (Under the skin) who has neurofibromatosis himself.
The film is produced by A24, and is written and directed by Aaron Schimberg. Filming for the film is currently underway in New York City.
