The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) recently announced a new BOOster Trick or Trade package to celebrate Halloween. Each pack will contain 40 themed mini booster packs (only 3 cards per pack) that highlight Pokémon deemed scary such as Zubat, Gengar, Pumpkaboo, Mimikyu, and Polteageist.
In turn, each card will have a Pikachu jack-o’-lantern stamp which is pretty cute. The idea is that this could serve as an alternative to trick-or-treat candy and then those youngsters will go around trading cards and help bring everyone closer.
Unfortunately, I think the reality will be more like a bunch of scalpers are going to buy them all and then sell them for exorbitant amounts. Speaking of the BOOster package, Tim Moore She said:
The Trick or Trade BOOster pack combines two things families love: Pokémon and Halloween trading cards. With the incredible popularity of the Pokémon TCG, this will be a candy alternative uniquely welcomed in trick-or-treat bags by both kids and parents. We look forward to partnering with grocery and mass retail partners to deliver this fun product that allows kids to discover the magic of the Pokémon TCG this Halloween season.
The Pokémon TCG it’s not the only thing the Pokémon Company wants to use to celebrate Halloween. They are preparing for the debut of a new interactive website in early September, new merchandising and more. Andy Hartpence She said:

And with so many parents growing up with the franchise, this inaugural Halloween campaign will offer Trainers of all generations another way to connect and bond over their love of Pokémon. For years to come, Halloween will continue to be a time of celebration for Pokémon, as we offer fans festive ways to interact with the brand and highlight the much-loved spooky side of the popular and captivating franchise.
The BOOster Trick or Trade package will be released on September 1st.
