Jordan Peele shares an unreleased clip of NOPE with “Gordy’s Home!” Opening credits of the sitcom

The most interesting story told in Jordan Peel’S No involved the traumatic past of Steven Yuenthe character of Ricky ‘Jupe’ Park. He witnesses a dark and violent tragedy on the set of a sitcom in which he starred as a child called “Gordy’s Home!” which was told through flashbacks.

Peele recently shared an unedited clip that features the opening credits of the fictional sitcom and offers more context and information about Gordy the chimpanzee and the haunting scene’s traumatizing past. You can check out that clip below.

In Jupe’s childhood story film, a balloon bursts while he is filming a birthday party episode of “Gordy’s Home!” and that pop sends Gordy the chimp into a violent rage where he brutally attacks the actors on the show.

The sitcom’s opening offers a little more insight into Gordy’s story before stepping into show business. The title title is set to the image of a rocket launched into space, which is a nod to Ham the chimpanzee, the first chimpanzee sent into space in 1961.

The flashback scenes in Nope also allude to Gordy’s space story, adding a subtext to the idea that people and animals can become parts of the machinery only to be abandoned and forgotten.

The story of Jupe and Gordy the chimpanzee was the most interesting part of the film for me. The focus on this would have made a much better movie. The whole UFO element of science fiction was not interesting to me. I think I need to see that movie again, though, as I saw it late at night during Comic-Con and was pretty tired.

What do you think of all this!
