There is good news for fans of fantasy series and, above all, for fans of ‘Eragon’. the streaming platform Disney + would be preparing a live action series based on the novels for the youth of the writer Cristoforo Paolini.
According to Variety, Disney + is in an early stage of development and will have as its protagonist the screenwriter of the saga, Paolini, who will collaborate as co-writer of the series and, still awaiting confirmation, could also participate as co-showrunner. Additionally, Bert Salke will executive produce on behalf of his company, Co-Lab 21, with the 20th television production.
After the commercial success of the fantasy novels ‘The Legacy’, in 2006 the distributor 20th Century Fox (now owned by Disney) brought the film adaptation of ‘Eragon’, the eponymous title of the first book of the saga, to the big screen. An epic fantasy in which a young farmer takes possession of a dragon egg from which Saphira is born, a dragoness who will choose him as her knight. With the help of his mentor, Brom, Eragon will become a true knight. Together with his new companion in adventures, the young knight will face the evil king Galbatorix to free the land of Alagaësia.

Last year the hashtag #EragonRemake that Paolini and his entourage of fans organized became a trend on Twitter. a campaign to ask Disney executives for a new adaptation for the streaming platform.
