‘My Shazam!  Fury Of The Gods’: Zachary Levi Releases New Trailer With “Shazam-ily” at Comic-Con

Shazam! wrath of the gods He was the first to announce Warner Bros.’s return in person at Comic-Con Hall H in San Diego on Saturday.

Zachary Levy, who plays the lead character David F. in the Sandberg-directed film, said the second episode will be about “shazam adjusting to its new family.” Or as it says, “Shazam-il.”

Levi’s fan asked if Shazam would fight Superman in the new movie. The actor said no, but then saw that it was possible.

Levi was also asked by a Hall H fan when Shazam will fight Black Adam. The actor replied, “Next question… that’s not an idea, that’s not an idea.”

“We have this awesome version of kids with superpowers,” Levy says.

“It’s been a few years, and (the boys) are doing different missions helping the city of Philadelphia,” adds the actor.

“We found our identity,” says Levy, “through little family distractions and stuff.”

The trailer begins with Shazam having a fit of conscience and talking about his powers. “Do I not deserve these powers as soon as I contribute,” he says. Then he and his friends must face a new villain, Atlas’ three daughters, who has come to reclaim their powers. “The children stole the power of the gods,” says Helen Mirren’s character, “that’s very personal to me.” As a dragon, the girls bring supernatural threats and dangers to Shazam.

Levi’s Shazam’s hysterical line to Mirren’s Hope: “I’ve seen all the Fast & Furious movies and it’s all about family!”

In addition to Levi, there were Sandberg, Lucy Liu (Calypso), Jack Dylan Grazer (Freddie Freeman), and Asher Angel (Billy Batson).

Rachel Zeigler, who plays one of Mirren and Atlas’ daughters, took part in the panel.

While playing Calypso, Liu said, “I enjoy playing a goddess, there’s nothing like this. Being a part of the DC Universe was the most important thing that happened in my career. I am honored to be here now and to be a woman of color and to have this wonderful career that I have had, to be a part of something special. A world where we can all relate because we all want to belong. A place where I feel at home.”

Shazam: Wrath of God It opens on December 21.

Until shazam3, “If they go to see it, I’m sure adults will want to make another one,” Levi said.
