DC’s most adorable superhero has returned to San Diego Comic-Con to present his sequel. Zachary Levi was very well accompanied at the ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ by director David F. Sandberg, who also directed the first installment, and actors Jack Dylan Grazer and Asher Angel, who return as Freddy Freeman and Billy Watson, as well as Lucy Liu, a great addition as Kalypso. All of them were in charge of revealing the movie trailer:

In ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods will see Billy with a certain inferiority complex because he doesn’t consider himself as cool as other superheroes. But soon he will have to face a series of gods, such as Hespera, the character of Helen Mirren, who connected to the panel via Zoom and applauded an increased presence of female characters in the film with a great “pussy power!”. Rachel Zegler, who is shooting the “The Hunger Games” prequel, also connected via Zoom.

Billy Batson will not be alone this time, like he will have his “Shazamilia” by his side, which were introduced at the end of the first film. The film, they explained to the panel, will focus on the fact that Billy is afraid of not adapting to them and losing them along the way. We finally see in the trailer the comment to ‘Fast & Furious’ that the protagonist makes to the character of Helen Mirren, an actress who is part of the action saga.

Black Adam? Henry Cavill? ‘Shazam! 3 ‘?

In the Q&A section of the panel, poor Zachary Levi had to dodge fans’ main doubts: Will Shazam ever face Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam? Will there be a Henry Cavill Superman cameo? Will there be a third party? The actor couldn’t reply to any of them, but on another possible sequel he sent a message to the public: “If you go and see it, the bosses will surely want to do another one”. ‘Shazam!’ He gave the surprise in 2019 by raising over 360 million dollars at the world box office, which served to receive a larger budget, which the director assures that “they spent it all”.

‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods will be premiered in theaters on December 21st.
