A few days after a member of the “Law & Order: Organized Crime” crew was shot dead in Brooklyn, New York, another tragedy occurs on a film set. This time it took place in Chicago, where the revival of “Justified” titled “Justified: City Primeval” was filmed. Filming for the series had to stop after two cars broke through the fences on the set near Douglas Park and became involved in a shooting.

No team member was injured in the accident, but It has been confirmed that Timothy Olyphant, who returns as Raylan Givens, will be in attendance at the shoot. Deadline collects a rumor that the actor has confronted a production assistant to protect him, but they have not yet been able to verify this information.
According to members of the Variety filming, the shooting took place around 1am and luckily the area was cordoned off by the police while filming was taking place. Workers received a walkie-talkie from the first deputy director, advising them to take cover: “They are shots” he exclaimed. Chicago police are investigating the incident. The production plans to put the series back on track on Monday.
