
Live Saturday night team of successful comedy writers Ben Marshall, John HigginsAnd Martin Herlihycalled Please Don’t Destroy, are teaming up with producer Judd Apatow to develop a comedy about friends.
Marshall, Higgins and Herlihy will write the film, which centers on “three childhood friends who live and work together. When the three decide they don’t like their life trajectory, they set out in search of a gold treasure that is said to be buried in the nearby mountain.
In all honesty, it’s like my real life, but I go out and do those things with my brothers. Either way, it should be a fun little adventure comedy. The three writers will also star and executive producers on the film, which has yet to be titled.
Please Don’t Destroy were hired as screenwriters on SNL’s 47th season and worked on creating digital short films. Some of these include “Three Sad Virgins” with Taylor Swift and Pete Davidson, “Good Variant”, “Hard Seltzer” and “Rami Wants a Treat”.
Live Saturday night alum Paolo Briganti he is directing the play. Universal Pictures will release the film in theaters on August 18, 2023. Judd Apatow is producing.
