Several months ago, Nintendo announced that it would close the eShops for the 3DS and Wii U in March 2023, but no specific date was given. It was recently announced that the closure will take place on March 27, 2023 and on August 29, 2022 it will no longer be possible to add funds. The company reiterates that you will still be able to re-download games, download updates, and even play the titles online. You can simply no longer purchase content via the eShop on those systems. I know I’ve worked hard to save and buy all the games I want for those systems like The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker HD. What are you making sure you get before it’s too late?
Updates on discontinuing #eShop for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS family systems:
– From 08/29/2022 it will no longer be possible to add funds.
– From 03/27/2023 purchases will no longer be available.More details: https://t.co/T1GJfjxYMF
