Comic-Con is finally back in full swing. After having to shut down and switch to a disappointing online model due to the pandemic, the most geeky convention of the year returns in person to San Diego on Thursday 21st July. Fans have four days to spare to show all the fervor for the films, series, comics and characters that dominate pop culture. And hardly anyone wanted to miss this great event.

A few days ago we reviewed the main panels that will take place from 21 to 24 July, the juiciest always in the legendary Hall H of the congress center. Now Deadline anticipates some surprises we can expect, and there is one that, if it happens, brings down the entire venue. According to this submission, although Dwayne Johnson and his ‘Black Adam’ will be the protagonists of the Warner Bros. panel, which will be held on Saturday 23 in Hall H, It is rumored that Henry Cavill himself could make an appearance at the presentation, and that would be to talk about Superman’s future.
Recall that the last time we saw Cavill wearing the Superman suit was in ‘Justice League’ (and years later in ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’, but chronologically it’s the same material from the 2017 film). After that, a series of reports began to emerge that seemed to indicate that Henry Cavill’s time as Kal-El was over.. The actor has always said that he will be ready to wear the cape again if called, but he has never said he will be back. Warner, on the other hand, had begun working on a Superman reboot with Michael B. Jordan for HBO Max, but who knows if the new studio guard, now led by David Zaslav, still wants to get that project done. Since Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent has always been well received, bringing him back would be a fairly logical step on the part of the DC universe.
And what about Marvel?
At the moment we have to consider this option as a rumor, since the only ones confirmed for the Warner and DC panel at Comic-Con are The Rock, ‘Black Adam’ director Jaume Collet-Serra and Zachary Levi who have something to show by. ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’. Saturday is the big day of the convention, with the panels of “The Sandman” and “The House of the Dragon”, to name two examples. But the most awaited is undoubtedly that of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deadline anticipates a first look at “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, which hits theaters in November, and another preview of “She-Hulk: Lawyer She-Hulk”, the upcoming MCU series (on Disney + ad August). . But they say we shouldn’t expect big surprises or announcements from the House of Ideas because the attacks will be reserved for the D23 Expo, the Disney convention that will take place from 9 to 11 September.
