This was confirmed by NBC itself: one of its workers died as a result of a crime committed in the early hours of the morning. Variety takes it back by reporting it the victim was working on filming the series ‘Law and Order: Organized Crime’, when the ambush that would end his life occurred.

According to the aforementioned North American media reports, said team member was sitting in his car at about quarter past five in the morning in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York; when an unknown person approached, opened the car door and shot him. Filming for “Law & Order: Organized Crime” was supposed to be filming all Tuesday in the neighborhood, so this crew member had arrived early. His job at the time was to reserve parking and protect trucks that had already arrived with the equipment they would use during the day.
Variety adds that, at the time of publishing their article, it is not known whether the killer knew the victim or what could be the reason behind such an event.
