The winner of the second annual X-Men vote this year is Firestar. He will lend his powerful microwave manipulation powers to the rest of the team consisting of Cyclops, Jean Gray, Synch, Iceman, Havok, Forge and Magik. This new formation will face the threat of the Eternals to wage war on the mutant genre. The new lineup will go into action in the near future X-Men # 13a AX: Judgment day tie in question. New artist CF Villa will join the series’ new rotating lead artist together Joshua Cassara. You can check out some covers and variations with Firestar’s new costume Pepe Larraz. X-Men # 13 will be released on August 17th
Which mutant did you want to join the current team? My favorite has always been Rogue, but as someone who doesn’t know many of the mutants outside of the animated series, I always like to see the mutants I’m not so familiar with being in the spotlight.
