Ana de Armas it is currently developing it John Wick spin-off film, titled Dancerand recently revealed that he has brought Promising young woman writer and director Emerald Fennell to help write the script.
De Armas told Elle in an interview: “It was really important for me to hire a writer, because up until that moment when I was involved in the project, she was just the director, Len Wiseman, and another guy. And I was like, ‘It’s not going to work.’ So I interviewed like five or six female writers. We hired Emerald Fennell, which I was so proud of. “
According to Variety, Fennell is helping to “power up” the script, which was written by John Wick 3 scribe Shay Hatten and the director of the spin-off Wiseman. It is unknown if Fennell will be credited for her work, but I’m sure de Armes will make sure she is. John Wick directr Chad Stahelski is on board the project as a producer.
The film will follow de Armas’s young killer as she seeks revenge against her family’s killers. It is not clear whether Keanu Reeves he will reprise his role as Wick in the film, but with the film set in the same universe, there is a chance.
