Fan of The last of us The game franchise was eagerly awaiting the release of the adaptation of the HBO Max live-action series. Well, according to the head of HBO Casey Bloyswe can expect the series to debut “early 2023”.
Craig Mazinthe creator of the acclaimed HBO limited series Chernobylhe wrote the series and is also an executive producer with Neil Druckmannwho is the writer and creative director of the game.
Pedro Pasquale stars in the series like Joel, e Beautiful Ramsey is taking on the role of Ellie in the next video game adaptation. They are joined by Gabriele Luna like Joel Tommy’s brother, Anna Torv, Merle Dandrige, Nick Offerman, Storm Reid, Nico Parker, Gabriele Luna, Jeffrey PierceAnd Murray Bartlett.
The last of us takes place 20 years after modern civilization was destroyed by a deadly virus. Joel (Pascal), a hardened survivor, is hired to take Ellie (Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone at Fireflies, a treatment-seeking organization. What starts out as a small job soon becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey, as they both have to traverse the United States and depend on each other for survival.
moon plays Tommy, Joel’s younger brother, “a former soldier who hasn’t lost a sense of idealism and hope for a better world”. Dandridge will take on the role of Marlene in the series, the leader of the Fireflies, “a resistance movement fighting for freedom against an oppressive military regime”. Offerman will take on the role of Bill’s character and will act alongside Murray Bartlett as Frank, two pandemic survivors living alone in their own isolated town.
I was looking forward to seeing this series and am thrilled to see how the show turns out!
