Director Rob Zombie is known for his musical career, however, he has been behind some low-profile horror films such as “House of 1000 Corpses” in film. And now he’s back with “The Munsters”, which is based on the series of the same name, and which has already released its first trailer.
Under the production of Universal, now comes the first trailer of ‘The Munsters’, a comedy-horror movie which is based on the series of the same name that aired in the 1960s, better known as ‘The Monster Family’, and which makes its transition from black and white to color.
With a duration of more than two minutes, Rob Zombie presents “the best love story” with ‘The Munsters’, which reports Herman and Lily Munster, who will be played by Jeff Daniel Phillips and Sheri Moon respectively, accompanied by Daniel Roebuck as his grandfather and Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus.
So far, it has been confirmed the release date of ‘The Munsters’ It will be in September of this year 2022although there is no precise date for its launch yet, and if in the future it will reach several popular streaming platforms such as Netflix, HBO Max or Amazon Prime Video.
Who is who in the new version of “The Munsters”?
For the new version of Munster, Jeff Daniles Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon as Lily and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munsters are the main cast of Rob Zombie’s film. But we will also see Richard Brake as Henry Augustus, Catherine Zoya Krupp, Dee Wallace, Cassandra Peterson and Jorge Garcia in the cast.
In addition to being a modern adaptation of the classic series, ‘The Munsters’ still lacks more details on the plot, however, as the director himself said, he chose to make it in color, without neglecting the touch of comedy and terror that the TV show. He already had.
Previously, the director had told Entertainment Weekly some details of ‘The Munsters’: “I knew that if you walked in and asked at the beginning, ‘This film is going to be black and white’, forget it. We wouldn’t be talking about Munsters right now because that would never happen. I guarantee it. But what I did was make the colors hyper-realistic. “
