Review: DXRacer CRAFT is the Royalty gaming chair in every way

Editor’s Note: DXRacer did not sponsor this article, but did provide us with the Lucky Always DXRacer Craft Gaming Chair for this review.

When updating a game setup, people often love to switch monitors, TVs, upgrade systems or PCs, and a host of accessories. I’ve always been focused on improving my visual and audio settings, with occasional nicer controllers. However, I always found myself sitting on whatever was closest to the TV: a casual folding chair, sofa, or my bed. But with the DXRacer Craft gaming chair, I can really play with maximum comfort.

The DXRacer is an elegant and sturdy gaming chair that has many of the bells and whistles you would like. The recliner in the back goes down enough for me to lie down and take a nice nap (which I have). The armrests move up and down, back and forth and even rotate in and out to best fit where my arms rest as I play right now. The headrest is soft but firm. The chair obviously goes up and down and can lean back with a customized resistance level to your liking. And finally, for me having back pain, you can adjust and add quite a bit of lumbar support with a large dial on the side. All of these features work very well and seem to last a long time. The build quality of this chair is as good as I can imagine gaming chairs have ever been. I’ve spent a few weeks on it now, easily taking 70 hours or more between using the controller, mouse and keyboard and normal computer use. Overall, it helped me feel more comfortable and relieve my back pain by enjoying long periods of play.

Nothing is ever truly perfect and there are some things that could have been different. It’s amazing that there isn’t a footrest that lowers off the chair, which can be really nice for us shorter players. I also find the chair to be solid enough, which I like. But I could see some complaints from other users. It’s not uncomfortable at all, but it definitely leans on the firmer side of the wheelchair spectrum. The last thing to point out is that for now everything is fully functional, but a bit stiff. The different buttons, wheels and levers work perfectly, but I wish they were a little smoother outside the box.

While I don’t usually talk about price when it comes to the quality of accessories or games, it’s important to note that this is a high-quality, premium gaming accessory. For the price it is, I think the sound system, mouse and keyboard or controller upgrade might be worth more to some gamers. However, if these things are less of a priority or your setup is already well established, it might be worth investing in an extremely beautiful chair like this DXRacer Craft Gaming Chair.

While these last two paragraphs seem like a lot of downsides, this gaming chair has an incredibly high quality and is very stylish. I can sit for hours and use it again and again for days with no problem and I can honestly relax better than in any other wheelchair / game chair I’ve ever been in. It might not be as comfortable as a sofa or sack bag, but it does the job right where it is needed and can be worth a lot of the price.
