
San Diego Comic-Con has released the full schedule for the final day of the event, Sunday, July 24, and there’s not much to do. It’s Sunday, it’s always a slow day and kind of a relaxing day, which is nice for me because I’m working pretty much non-stop for the rest of the event.
My favorite thing to do on Sundays is to walk into the main convention hall, buy some toys, and attend Buffy the Vampire Slayer “Once More Time with Feeling” event, which is always a good time! For me, it’s a great way to end my Comic-Con experience.
Here are some of the highlights from Sunday’s panel:
Sunday 23 July
10:00 – 11:15 – Jack Kirby tribute panel – It wouldn’t be Comic-Con without a panel that pays tribute to the man they still call “The King of Comics,” the man who created or co-created most of the Marvel superheroes and many other comic superstars elsewhere. Sit down and talk about Jack Kirby with the comic book superstar Frank Miller, comic book publisher Steve Saffel, Rand Hoppe (acting executive director of the Jack Kirby Museum & Research Center) and Jack’s grandson, Jeremy Kirby. And presiding over everything will be Jack’s biographer and former assistant, Marco Evanier. Room 5AB
11:00 – 12:00 – Everyone plays Dungeons & Dragons! – Experts in the field of Dungeons & Dragons and board games—Todd Kenreck (Dungeons & Dragons), Saige Ryan (Pixel Circus, Smosh Games), La Tia Jacquise (Mount Cook Games), Johnny Stanton IV (Cleveland Browns) e B. 15:00 – 16:00 – UFO: reality and fiction – Author, editor and former USAF special agent Walter Bosley will lead a group of speakers as they explore UFO / UAP sightings from a historical perspective with respect to the phenomenon depicted in film, TV and comics. They will begin with an exploration of ancient petroglyphs and current UFO / UAP facts and discuss how the reported phenomena have been influenced and influenced by pop culture. Room 6DE
15:00 – 16:15 – Buffy 25th: Once More With Feeling: An Interactive Whedonverse Musical – Let’s close this show with a bang! The powers behind Fandom Charities, The Hellmouth Con, Whedonopolis.com and Fandompolis.com are hosting an interactive screening of Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode “Once More with Feeling” as the grand closing event of Comic-Con. Many say this is the coolest, funniest, and coolest episode ever to come out of the Buffyverse. But remember, the best part of the show is up to you! This episode was created to talk, that is, say, and sign, scream and dance in the hallways, with or without dry cleaning!
