This year’s San Diego Comic-Con is coming to a head. Scheduled from 20 to 24 July, the most important convention of the year will feature a program full of big names such as Marvel, Disney, Warner, Prime Video or HBO Max. Among many production companies and streaming platforms, the AMC television network wants to gain a foothold with an exclusive panel for its flagship product, “The Walking Dead”which has made an appearance at the event since its premiere in 2010, to anticipate what would happen in the new seasons and to present spin-offs such as “Fear The Walking Dead” or “The Walking Dead: World Beyond”.
After 12 years of broadcasting, the main series has become a staple of pop culture over the past decade, as well as the zombie genre. Now, After fully entering its eleventh and final season last year, “The Walking Dead” will wrap up with its final eight chapters this fall..
AMC has announced what will be the final panel featuring “The Walking Dead” and a celebration by and for fans that will accompany the event. The network has revealed that Chris Hardwick, the host of the Talking Dead show that talks about the series, will direct a final panel that will feature most of the cast from season 11 (such as Terry Crews, Samantha Morton and Danny Ramirez) along with showrunners Scott M. Gimple and Angela Kang.
Like the rest of the franchises, “The Walking Dead” will use Comic-Con to present teasers and previews, so we can most likely take a look at the trailer of the series finale. The following celebration will feature real parts and accessories used in the series, and the audience in attendance will be able to purchase exclusive merchandise, put on make-up like a zombie or gorge on themed food and drinks prepared for the occasion. The panel will take place on Friday 22 July in Room H of the SDCC.
It does not end here
Everything ends and “The Walking Dead” is no exception. Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan have already said goodbye to their characters, and fans will be able to do the same at the next Comic-Con, but it doesn’t end there. For now, if plans don’t change, we can have a trilogy of films with the initial protagonist, Rick Games, played by Andrew Lincoln..
In its stellar field, television, the zombie universe continues to expand with “Tales of The Walking Dead” and “Isle of Dead”, the new spin-off starring Maggie and Negan. For its part, “Fear The Walking Dead” appears to be following in the footsteps of the main series in terms of longevity as it has been renewed for an eighth season.
