The author of the acclaimed novel series “The Bridgertons”, Julia Quinn, is preparing with the executive producer of the series, Shonda Rhimes, to release a prequel based on the rise of Queen Charlotte. ‘The Bridgertons’: Queen Charlotte will also have a prequel in novel format

The news was learned through a press release released by the William Morrow Group in which the creator and the screenwriter express their enthusiasm for this new project which focuses on one of the most charismatic characters in the series. In Quinn’s own words: “I am particularly excited to have the opportunity to write about Queen Charlotte, who did not appear in the original novels. Her character and Golda Rosheuvel’s brilliant portrayal of her was a tour de force, and I think that readers will love the opportunity to learn more about her”.

For “Grey’s Anatomy” creator Shonda Rhimes: “Queen Charlotte was a very moving character to write and now having the opportunity to work with Julia to adapt this story into a book is a very exciting opportunity.”.

God Save the Queen

The prequel to “The Bridgertons” will focus on the story of how the marriage between King George III and the young queen shook the foundations of English society in the 18th century. A story of love and challenge based on a historical character.
