On top of the Ghostbusters: Beyond sequel that is in development and the ghost Buster animated series produced for Netflix, there is an animated film in the works with the director Jason Reitman and writer Gil Kenan.
Not much is known about this animated film, but in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kenan offered some new information, saying that “The animated film will take us to places we’ve never been before.
The writer went on to say, “We love these characters and are so excited to push the boundaries of what we consider a Ghostbusters story. We will keep the flame burning with all of these concepts, which will continue to grow into what a Ghostbusters story can be.”
Reitman added: “An animated series and an animated film will allow us to delve into the places Dan Aykroyd spoke about when he first spoke. ghost Buster. “
This is very cool and very exciting for hardcore ghost Buster fans like me. It looks like the future is bright for the franchise and I’m so excited to see the franchise expand with different stories that will surely introduce us to some new characters.
As long as this creative team delivers strong and entertaining stories, fans will continue to introduce themselves, watch and support the franchise.
