Fans of the Star Wars The franchise has had mixed feelings about each of the new properties that have been released since Disney + began making its list of shows set in the galaxy far, far away. What we know so far about the upcoming Andor series is that it should be a large-scale enterprise. Whether or not this will help win fans over is yet to be seen, but it’s intriguing.

In a recent interview with Empire, the creator of the show, Tony Gilroyspoke about the structure of the series and how it will turn out, saying:

“The scale of the show is so huge. The directors work in blocks of three episodes, so we made four blocks [in Season 1] of three episodes each. That filming schedule organically led to the different structure of the second season. We looked and said, ‘Wow, it would be really cool if we came back and use each block to represent a year. We will get one year closer to each block. ‘ From a narrative point of view, it’s really exciting to be able to work on something where you do Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then skip a year. “

Luna is promising a more character-centric story this time around, saying:

Thief One it’s more about an event than the actual journey [the] characters. It’s pretty amazing to start a show where it’s not about where we can end up, but how we got there?

The 12-episode series will begin streaming on Disney + on August 31st. Can’t wait to check it out?
