After the madness of Marvel Thor: RagnarokI was curious and excited to see which director Taika Waititi would do with his next film, Thor: Love and thunder. And well, this movie is crazy and it was a blast to watch!
I didn’t think the movie was that good Ragnork, but it was much wilder and crazier. There is so much to love and appreciate in the movie because it is loaded with the great epic action you expect from these Thor movies, and it was surprisingly very emotional too. Love and thunder it also offers a hilarious comedy that made me laugh out loud. I have to say that sometimes the movie gets a little too silly and some fans may not like that aspect. This movie was Waititi’s playground, and you can tell he had a lot of fun making this movie.
Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher was absolutely amazing! He created a hell of a big, haunted Marvel villain, and I liked the way his story arc unfolded over the course of the film. Bale was definitely a creepy and creepy Marvel villain, and it’s his story and his motivations that tie the film together. His story of him is actually quite tragic and heartwarming, and he’s a villain that some people will be able to sympathize with. There is a very personal and understandable reason why he is on a mission to kill all the gods.
It was so beautiful to see Natalie Portman back in the role of Jane Foster, and it’s so good to see her take on the role of Mighty Thor. Her story arc is the same as in the comics, with Jane falling ill with cancer, and while being Thor makes her feel better and stronger, and is able to help save the world, there is a downside to that. cancer worsens.
This has been an exciting story arc for me as my mother had a bout of breast cancer which she defeated, only to be diagnosed with stage four brain cancer a few years later, for which she is currently being treated. It’s an incredibly difficult thing to see her go through all of this, and having her portrayed in this film by a character like Jane Foster hit me hard emotionally, and while that aspect of the story was hard for me, it was beautifully told. I’ve always liked the character of Jane Foster, and it’s been great to see her get into the real action and play a big part in helping save the universe.
Chris Hemsworth he was great as Thor as usual, and he spends a lot of time in history with Waititi’s character, Korg. In fact, Korg is practically his companion for the entire film. Love and thunder he has a lot of fun with Thor, and there is a funny element in his story that is about his weapon, Stormbreaker. This movie is definitely the weirdest and silliest that Thor gets in the MCU.
As for Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, she was also fantastic in the film. I love this character and have a lot of fun with her. Oh! And then there is Russell Crowe like Zeus! The whole aspect of the story ended up being a wild surprise, and it was great!
I don’t want to go into spoiler-filled details about the film, but there are a lot of unexpected things happening that are really cool and fun to watch, and the film creates some interesting things for future MCU films. I can’t wait to see how some elements of this film eventually develop in the future.
There are two post-credits scenes that fans are sure to enjoy. Just wait until you see who has Marvel to play spoilers! I loved him!
