The fourth season of “Stranger Things” is now available in its entirety on Netflix. Volume 2, composed of the last two episodes, shows us how all the protagonists of the series, wherever they are, end up working on the same goal without knowing it: finish the vecna. The Hawkins devise a complex plan that involves returning to the Upside Down. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the Californians look for a way to get back to Hawkins in time so they won’t face without their superheroine. And those from Russia try to get back to the United States, but first they have to investigate why there is a Demogorgon in prison.
The battle was intense and, in addition to declaring casualties, it also left the fate of Max (Sadie Sink) in suspense. The young woman, who had a good season, offered herself as bait to lure Vecna, and although Eleven was helping her from afar, she was unable to stop the villain from starting the grisly process of dismemberment and subsequent annihilation. Although Eleven managed to stop him before it was too late, Max has gone into a coma and his body is in the hospital, unconscious and in poor conditionguarded by Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin).
Though it looked like Max’s fate was going to be one of the big cliffhangers they’d leave us with for Season 5, but Matt and Ross Duffer gave us a little hope in the podcast Happy Sad Confused: “She is brain dead, but she is alive. Brain dead, blind and with all the bones broken, but she’s doing great. she has seen better days”. We’ll take that “she’s doing great” as a good sign of her recovery.
What does Sadie Sink say?
For her part, Sadie Sink commented in an interview with Deadline that she only started shooting with part of the scripts, so she knew the season was going to be tough for her, but when she got the final script, she was shocked. Normal, because it says that “Max dies” was written in the script. This is what he tells Vulture about the character’s future: “I remember getting a call from the Duffers right after they sent us the script for Episode 9. They let me know what was going to happen. They said ‘ok, you’re going to die. The script says you die, but keep reading. Everything is in the air, it’s just a warning of what’s to come. ‘ I knew this before, but when I see the chapter you come to think that she is dead. You think Max is gone. It will certainly not go back to the way it was before, but there is a small upside. However, Eleven is looking for her in the void and cannot find her. Who knows where it is and in what state “. But if she returns, as we hope, Sadie Sink thinks her character will be in the mood for war: “I think now he’s in a place where he really wants to fight. In episode 9, when he has his monologue, he was getting ready to leave and make the biggest sacrifice. He goes so far as to say he just wants to. giving up, even though she told her friends that if she managed to get out once, she would do it again.She knew there was no way out alive, but the fact that she was willing to make the sacrifice was brutal and disheartening.
