Hollywood is in mourning again, this time for bad luck death of Joe Tukel, actor of many well-known classic motion pictures, such as Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining” and Ridley Scott’s “Blade Runner”. The interpreter passed away at the age of 94.
Joe Turkel’s family told US media that the actor died at home last Monday, June 27, 2022 of natural causes and that he did so accompanied by his sons Craig and Robert, who were with him on his death bed. .
On the other hand, the actor’s family also announced that, in his later years, Joe Turkel has devoted himself to writing a book about his career in Hollywood entitled “The miseries of success‘. They will be in charge of publishing it and it is estimated that they will do so by the end of 2022.

Although he enlisted in the United States Army in his youth to defend his people during World War II, Joe Turkel did not choose to continue in the army after the historic event ended. Instead, he decides to devote himself to what interested him most: cinema and television; so as soon as he gave up his military diploma, he started his acting studies.
His first roles began in the late forties and early fifties, he participated in several popular productions of the time such as’Town across the river’and’ Angels in disguise ‘. The actor managed to consolidate his career during the fifties and sixties, managing to be part of great successes such as’The killing’,’ Paths to Glory ‘,’ Johnny Cool ‘,’ Fight! ‘ and many others.
The truth is, it was his final years as an actor that gave him the opportunity to be part of his two most acclaimed films over the course of his career. The first was’The glow’ by Stanley Kubrick in the 1980s, where he played the waiter Lloyd; and two years later he was part of it ‘Blade Runner’ by Ridley Scott like Dr. Eldon Tyrell.
After starring in both successful film productions, the actor was cast in “The Dark Side of the Moon”, which would become his latest film. A legacy of over forty films and series is the one that Joe Turkel leaves in Hollywood after his death.
