by Disney Light year it came out a couple of weeks ago, and while it was one of the best Disney movies ever (I said what I said), it didn’t get the credit it deserved at the box office. One stumbling block to the film was that it featured a gay character, and while it was a lovely little story that took up perhaps a few minutes of the film, it was too much of an idea for some.
The other problem that some people have encountered was that Buzz Lightyear’s character in the film was voiced Captain America actor Chris Evans instead of Tim Allenwho voiced the toy character Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story film franchise.
The reason Evans was cast is because the film Light year it’s a movie within a movie, by Andy Toy StoryAndy’s favorite movie, which got Andy interested in Buzz Lightyear’s character, leading him to want the toy. So Buzz is a toy, based on a character from a movie, and it can look confusing. But how about the logic that Tim Allen was 42 when he first voiced Buzz, and now he’s nearly 70, and Chris Evans is 41? I think this fact alone is enough to calm people down. But Light year it is apparently the bizarre animated hill on which many people are willing to die, like Everyone loves Raymond Allen’s star and friend, Patricia Heaton, entered the mix, tweeting that Pixar “made a serious mistake in not picking my friend for the role he originated, the role he owns.”
Heaton then asked, “Why should they completely castrate this iconic and beloved character?” When he found out the film was a different version of Lightyear, he tweeted: “The reason the character became so loved is because [Allen] created. Why remove the one element that makes us want to see it? #stupidHollywooddecisions. I think Heaton has to look for the definition of castration. Either way, Allen himself finally took over the film in an appearance in Extra, and said:
“The short answer is that I stayed out of it because it has nothing to do [with my character]. This is a completely new team that really has nothing to do with the early films. “
Allen said he spoke to Pixar years ago about a potential standalone film for Buzz Lightyear. The actor also revealed that he initially thought Light year it was a live-action, not an animated project. He went on to say about the film:
“It is a wonderful story. It just doesn’t seem to have any connection to the toy, and it’s kind of … I don’t know. She simply has no relationship with Buzz. There is no connection. I wish there was a better connection with this. “
I think the movie is well connected and you can see all the toy modeling on the character quite clearly. The movie was the most action-packed and exciting movie I’ve seen in a long time, and I can’t recommend it highly enough, nor wait to see it again. Light year it is still in theaters and I imagine it will arrive on Disney + before the end of the year. If you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out.
