Iolanda Zanfardino And Elisa Romboli join a new fantasy series again The least we can do. Launched with Image Comics / Shadowline in September, this new series tells the story of a young woman who struggles for her ideas of revolution and to build a new society from the remains of a world almost destroyed by a mysterious magical power. But when her task proves too much for her to do alone, she must prove her worth to the Eclipse Rebels to join the fight against the terrifying Eden Army. At its core, it’s a story of what is right and what love means in a military-occupied and socially oppressed UK. There is something that sounds very Star Wars about this one, but set in a dystopian fantasy world rather than a distant galaxy. It sounds really cool though, I’m a fan of a good fantasy story and this one looks really interesting. Here’s what Zanfardino says about it:
As with our previous books, we put our heart and soul into The Least We Can Do … … This time, we also put in some fighting, magic, thirst for justice, blood, revenge and lots of funny women! This post-apocalyptic dystopian world was born within me, asking to be narrated. All the characters came to life in my head, and what was particularly exciting about this story was that the complexity of the plot came together very naturally for me. Did I enjoy writing this story? Hell yes! I really hope you will enjoy reading it!
The least we can do # 1 will be available in comic shops on September 14 and is now available for pre-order with cover variants A, B, C and D.
