Atari has revealed the start of a new set of collectible cartridges for the Atari 2600. There will be a series of ten cartridges in total coming out over the next six months. Two iconic games kick off the collection, Adventure And Missile command which are available for pre-order now for $ 99.99 each on the official Atari XP website and Limited Run Games.
Each cartridge will have reimagined graphics on the front label and will arrive in a box inspired by the original packaging for Atari 2600 games. Each cartridge will also feature an acrylic logo on top that will be unique to each game and will glow as you play. They will also come with a full color printed instruction manual, a hard enamel collector pin and a twill fabric collector patch.
If you’re nostalgic for the cartridge days, these collectibles are for you. Adventure And Missile command pre-orders are open until July 31 with cartridges shipped 30 days after the pre-order window closes.
