Peacock has released a full trailer for its upcoming comedy thriller The resort, which is described as a “multi-generational and coming-of-age love story masked by a frenzied mystery about the delusion of time.” It looks like a solid show that will entertain the audience!
In the series, “An anniversary trip tests a marriage when the couple find themselves embroiled in one of the Yucatan’s most bizarre unsolved mysteries that took place fifteen years earlier.”
The cast for the show includes William Jackson Harper (The good place), Cristina Milioti (Palm Springs)Nick Offerman (Parks and Entertainment), Skyler Gisondo (The right precious stones) and more! Andy Siara (Palm Springs) serves as showrunner, screenwriter and executive producer along with co-showrunner, executive producer and screenwriter Allison Miller (Angelina).
Speaking of the series, Siara shared a statement: “When I was much younger and had more energy, I wanted to make a great summer movie with mystery, detective, adventure, comedy, tragedy, romance, a natural disaster, plus a dose of the surreal. and existential – and ideally it would have been for Universal. It didn’t happen. But now, many years later, we have it The resort… and it’s kind of a big summer movie with all these things … split into 8 half-hour episodes about Peacock, which is kind of like Universal’s brother, so it all came together in the end. “
